Amazon FBA arbitrage sellers were forced to juggle fragmented tools for listing, repricing, inventory sourcing, and accounting. Elementica engineered AccelerList from concept to production in just six months — building a unified marketplace platform featuring batch listing, cross-platform eBay syndication, automated accounting, and "Profit Reprice™", an intelligent pricing engine with automated margin guardrails.

01

Client context

Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) arbitrage sellers operate in a fast-paced retail environment. Because Amazon's native Seller Central dashboard lacks advanced tools for batch listing, automated repricing, and accurate profit calculations, merchants historically stitched together fragmented third-party subscriptions and manual spreadsheets to manage their daily operations.

AccelerList was conceived to replace this fragmented setup with an all-in-one SaaS platform designed to streamline inventory intake, automate competitive repricing, and track true net profit in real time.

02

The challenge

Delivering a multi-surface marketplace platform within a strict six-month deadline presented major technical hurdles:

  • High-Volume Marketplace APIs: Interfacing with Amazon's MWS/SP-APIs involved strict rate limits, delayed reporting webhooks, and complex batch submission schemas.
  • Margin Protection during Repricing: Automated repricing algorithms can trigger a "race to the bottom" if competing bots underbid each other, accidentally driving selling prices below profitability.
  • Real-Time Mobile Sourcing: Retail arbitrage requires evaluating potential inventory profitability in real-time inside physical stores using a mobile barcode scanner.

Elementica's role

Elementica functioned as the sole technical build partner across the entire stack. We designed the system architecture, built the Python/Django API services, developed the React Native mobile app, integrated Amazon and eBay marketplace APIs, and engineered the "Profit Reprice™" engine.

04

The solution

Batch Listing & Cross-Marketplace Syndication

We engineered a high-throughput listing engine that allows sellers to process hundreds of physical inventory items simultaneously. Sellers scan barcodes, assign conditions and pricing, and push listings directly to Amazon FBA while automatically cross-listing inventory to eBay.

Margin-Protected "Profit Reprice™" Engine

We developed a repricing algorithm that constantly monitors competitor offer changes on Amazon. The engine dynamically updates selling prices to secure the Amazon Buy Box while enforcing strict user-defined ROI and profit floor guardrails, preventing accidental loss-making sales.

Automated Net Profit Accounting

The backend ingests raw Amazon settlement files, storage fees, refund events, and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) inputs to calculate real net profit. Sellers view accurate P&L statements showing exact margins rather than misleading gross revenue figures.

Mobile Barcode Sourcing App

We built a cross-platform React Native app equipped with high-speed camera barcode scanning. Sellers in physical retail stores scan products to instantly retrieve current Amazon Buy Box prices, historical sales rank velocity, estimated FBA fees, and net profit margins on the spot.

05

Engineering decisions that mattered

Enforcing ROI minimums directly inside the repricing engine core

Rather than relying on users to set manual price floors, we integrated ROI calculations directly into the execution loop. If a competitor price change forces an item's profit margin below the seller's cost threshold, the engine automatically halts price drops, protecting business margins.

Decoupling marketplace API synchronization via background worker queues

Amazon SP-API calls are subject to sudden rate-limit throttles. We decoupled API communications using Redis and Celery queues with dynamic exponential backoff retries. This setup buffers high-volume batch listings and price updates, preventing API lockouts during peak sales events.

06

Results

Elementica delivered the complete AccelerList platform in six months. The software provided Amazon sellers with a unified operational workspace, eliminating fragmented subscriptions, protecting profit margins through automated repricing, and enabling mobile sourcing capabilities.

07

Product evolution

The platform continues to expand its multi-marketplace integrations, adding broader channel support and advanced business intelligence analytics for multi-channel e-commerce merchants.
